If you’ve got some free time this Saturday, June 27, then there are some cool LEGO® train activities happening online for you to enjoy.
Monty’s Trains Layout Tour during NMRAx
Monty Smith of Monty’s Trains will be sharing his Lego trains with the National Model Railroad Association early this Saturday at 8am EDT. Monty has a one-hour block during the NMRAx Virtual Convention which will be streamed live on the NMRA Facebook page. He will be giving a tour of his LEGO layout, and in Monty’s words, “demonstrate what us serious Lego train hobbyists are doing to advance the hobby”. He will also be taking questions towards the end. The 1 hour presentation will be recorded and available some time later on the NMRA YouTube Channel.
LEGO Trains During Brickworld Virtual June 27th
Brickworld Virtual features LEGO artists, engineers, and vendors showing their creations via Zoom meeting rooms. A new twist to the Brickworld public shows will be a presentation room where you can learn from the experts. During the event there will be multiple train activities. Monty Smith of Monty’s Trains will have his home train layout on display and operating throughout the day. BMR will be announcing a some really awesome new products, and we will have a LEGO Tain Community Round Table.
Monty’s Trains Operating LEGO Train Layout
Monty Smith from Monty’s Trains will be displaying his trains at their first ever VIRTUAL show, via Zoom! He will have his home LEGO train layout on display and operating, and will have multiple cameras set up for viewing the layout as trains run. Come check it out from 12pm-6pm EDT!
BMR New Product Reveal
BMR will be showing off a couple of band new products for the first time doing the June 27th Brickworld Virtual Event. These are something you’ve never seen before, but will hopefully be a welcome addition to your trains. The fun starts at 12pm EDT. For those who can’t watch live, we will have an announcement post here on the BMR website following the event.
LEGO Train Community Round Table
Once again, there will be a Train Community Roundtable for the Brickworld Virtual Event. BMR will be there with our own Cale Leiphart as host. We have invited many LEGO train community members, as well as several makes of LEGO train compatible products. We will likely be discussing the new 10277 Crocodile Locomotive set from LEGO, new products coming from community members, and just chatting about anything and everything about trains. If you a novice or an expert, it doesn’t matter, all are welcome to join in and hopefully learn something new. The Train Community Roundtable is scheduled for 3pm EDT.
