The Brick Train Awards

The Brick Train Awards are a community-led event for the LEGO train fan community, by the LEGO train community. The awards were created by LNUR, a LEGO train club in the UK, and Brick Model Railroader based in the USA.

The Brick Train Awards are a virtual, global competition to showcase LEGO® train builders from across the world. The awards started as a response to much of the world being in lockdown due to COVID-19, giving a chance for LEGO® train fans around the world to meet and compete internationally.

The 2020 awards have 10 categories for judging the best LEGO® models for locomotives, rolling stock and LEGO® train displays. Each category is judged at a regional level, and the winners from each category then go head-to-head in global awards. The regions and they judges are as follows.

  • Americas: North and South American entries will be judged by the team behind Brick Model Railroader, Glenn Holland and Cale Leiphart.
  • Europe: Entries from Europe will be judged by Richard Carter of LNUR – LEGO® Northern UK Railway – and BMR team member  Enrico Lussi.
  • Australasia: Entries from Australia and New Zealand will be judged by Ryan Evans.
  • Asia: Entries for Asia, including Japan, China, India, Pakistan, Korea and Singapore, will be judged by Masao Hidaka.

Entering the Brick Train Awards is easy!

The awards are open for submissions from 15th June 2020 – 10th July 2020The virtual awards ceremony will be held on Friday, 17th July 2020 – join us on Facebook nearer the time to hear the winners in your region and globally.

  1. Read our FAQs and check the rules for entry – if you break them, we’ll disqualify your entry. Please also read our terms for entry: by submitting entries you are agreeing to these terms.
  2. Pick one way to enter your awards – email, or Google Form
  3. Sit back and relax – we’ll announce the winners for each category once judges have made their decisions

Please send one email per entry if you are submitting multiple models.
