There’s actually already been two more runs, making 75 total kits, and as of right now they don;t plan on producing more due to rarity of some parts.
I think there may be one or two more in Brickmania’s new GHQ store in Minneapolis, but they are not counted in their online inventory (just checked).

Today I’m writing on behalf of the L-Gauge Modular Standard Oversight Committee.
Last August was the NMRA National Train Show in Kansas City, Missouri. A number of LEGO clubs and LTC’s were in attendance, and […]

*gasp*
A Mallard moc?? Can we see it?? -
Where can the Del-Tang equipment be purchased in the U.S.? What battery do you suggest? A how-to article would be a great follow up. I want to select a system that can work in my LEGO trains as well as convert my old HO scale trains.
-
Hi Robert, a follow up would be a great idea, I will look at putting something together over the holidays. I believe it would be possible to put inside an HO train as Deltang makes some tiny receivers.

Has anyone used the MRC Loco Genie for train control? For $70 you get the remote, receiver, speaker/sound, and directional led lights. Paired with a 9v battery, it seems like an ideal solution for a small switcher with limited space. How much battery can the powered up train motors tolerate? Any advice on ideal battery setups to maximize run time while minimizing the space the battery(s) take up would be appreciated. If someone has already used the Loco Genie a “how to” article or advice would be great.

John, R72 mentioned here is an aftermarket LEGO-compatible track with a radius of 72 studs. LEGO’s own curved track is what we call R40, so it has a 40 stud radius.

We have some good plans for diesel Premium Instructions. If all goes well, we’d like to have a start on that later this year.

It’s very unlikely. After we sell the kits, making instructions for the same locomotive would be a disservice to those who purchased the kits. As I mentioned in the article, we already have some locomotives picked […]

That’s a good question. I think you’ll want five holes between the axles themselves.

Beyond the normal stuff like couplers, we didn’t use many (if any at all) out of production parts. We first need to consider our options for production, but we should be able to manage putting the kits together.

It’s finally time.
After a year and a half of trial, failure, and redesigning, and exactly one year after we originally planned to, Cale and I are pleased to announce the first ever Brick Model Railroader s […]

I am not familiar with the r72 curves mentioned in the article. Is this a 6’ circle similar to o gauge rr o72 curves?

What passenger cars were you pulling? They look nice.

We were using some Reading passenger cars built by a former PennLUG member. We’re planning to release a combine and coach to accompany the T1.

Do you know when the second run of these will be coming? I’m wanting to make a model of GSMR 1702, and this would be a good starting point.

We are limiting entries to those based in reality. I.E., an entry should be a model of a prototype. The reason for this is, and @raised put it, is that otherwise it would break the idea of the challenge being […]

Will you by any chance consider the mentioned 3900 class for the Premium Instructions line?
We can at least consider it!
Sweet! I really hope you guys end up deciding on it – I haven’t yet seen a faithful representation of the Challengers in lego, as the Big Boy gets all the attention…and if I can’t get ahold of a Big Boy kit, an affordable Challenger would definitely be the next best thing.
how do you preorder the T-1 kit
It will be available here on our website in the future. We’re not quite ready to accept pre-orders et but we’ll keep everyone updated on that and our Big Boy.
