Not quite a year ago I ordered the boxcar and hopper instructions. Naturally I wanted to find a good Reading steamer to pull them. So after a little research I decided on a T1. I was actually planing a trip to Steamtown USA to take some pictures of theirs when BMR made the announcement that they would be making a T1 kit. I have been waiting for the pre-order to go live ever since. The final model looks spectacular.
My only question is why is the pricing options not listed in the announcement?

Do you know how long it will take to receive an order form after you place the order?

We always ship orders as soon as we have all items in hand and ready to go- pre-order items take longer, of course, but current products are items we have on hand and can send out quickly.

Sweet! Still a bit disappointed about an AFT or Chessie Steam Special variation, but this is still incredibly awesome!

We’re glad you are excited.
As for the Chessie, and AFT variants, we studied both closely for possible production. Both paint schemes used dark blue extensively. Dark blue is a somewhat limited color in LEGO still, and to reproduce either scheme would be both costly and possibly require several modifications to the original model design to make up for parts not available. We decided it was best for us to focus on the Freight and Rambles schemes for now. However we have not completely thrown out the idea of doing an AFT or Chessie some time in the future if we can make it work.
