If you build the Clishay 8-wide, what scale will that make it?

I really want to try the medium train wheels but the shipping cost of $20 to Aus (the same as the cost of 4 wheels) is hard to justify 🙁 Might see if I can talk some friends into a group order.

Great post Cale. It’s not surprising the PennLUG layout is one of the best in the world given the club’s commitment to quality and your level of organisation/forward planning.

Wow, PennLug. I’ve seen some full-sized railroads that weren’t ran that efficiently, or with such an eye towards future planning. Amazing little organization you got yourself built up there in Pennsy, Cale. Just […]

I’m really glad to see something like this get started. Our community needs centralized online resources badly, and I think this format looks really promising.

This thing is pretty impressive, and its internals, I think, are pointing the way forward. Bluetooth control, bigger batteries and all really open up a lot of possibilities.

This is a really great topic, and a direction in layout building that really changes the way we get to interact with our models.
As for putting a straight in front of a switch, yeah, PennLUG often does that […]

Great write-up, Cale. I can also attest to the quality of the RR Museum of PA. Not just in the quantity of the collection, but the care they take in preservation and presentation. It’s a great source of inspiration.
