Each year, the Amherst Railway Society of Massachusetts holds its annual Railroad Hobby Show at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA.  At last count, the show features over 8 acres of model and full-scale railroading, spread throughout four buildings.

Proceeds from the show after given back to the railroad community in the form of grants awarded to preservation groups, museums and more.  The Amherst Railway Society’s Railroad Hobby Show is the biggest in the northeastern United States, and is something not to be missed!
